Oberlin's Mission is to provide an education based on Christian principles, educating our students to help them make contributions to God's work and practical contributions to individuals and society alike. We aim to help our students develop more positive attitudes, high hopes for the future, and a sympathetic and understanding attitude towards those who are trouble or in need. Our students should respect and appreciate their own culture and values and strive to respect and appreciate other cultures as well.
